Fiona Loan

General practitioner

Fiona is a locum GP at Mahoe Med in Te Awamutu.

She graduated from Otago Medical School in 2009 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Structural Biology and continuing on to complete her medical degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Women's Health.

She worked as a surgical registrar predominantly in the specialisations of ENT and plastics for six years prior to pursuing general practice, and completed her General Practice Fellowship in December 2017.

Fiona has a strong interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery and is a fully accredited Australasian Skin Cancer College Member having completed the Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and Diploma of Dermoscopy.

She successfully practices in both general practice and skin cancer surgery at Mahoe Med in Te Awamutu and facial plastics at Dunedin Hospital.
