Rawiri Blundell

General Manager, Māori and Equity

Rawiri (Ngati Porou, Kahungungu) has worked in community, cancer networks, Te Whatu Ora, and primary care organisations, most recently as the population health manager for Te Awakairangi and Tu Ora Compass Health PHOs. Rawiri takes pro-equity approaches to build prevention capability across primary care. He has significant experience in diabetes prevention, cancer prevention and early intervention, Māori health, whānau ora and research, alongside his knowledge of Te Ao Māori.

He was previously the Māori health manager for Pinnacle until moving to the Wellington region in 2020. Rawiri returns to Waikato alongside his whānau and looks forward to continuing to help improve health outcomes for Māori.
