Vui Dr Tamatoa Blaiklock

Talofa lava. I am a Samoan general practitioner working in Kirikiriroa Hamilton. My main current roles are clinical director K’aute Pasifika and GP director Hamilton East Medical Centre.

My mother’s village is Lano, Savaii, Samoa from which I hold the chief title Vui Tafilipepe. 

I have a passion to serve our Pasifika and Māori communities. It is my vision to effect systemic changes in the heath sector for Pasifika and to see our communities healthy and thriving. 

As a practice owner I have a deep understanding of the current challenges facing general practice. This is a key time for our PHO to be strategic in our advocacy for primary care. I have four years of governance experience in various boards. My most recent role being deputy chair of Anglesea Charitable Trust. I believe this has provided me with the right skills mix to represent you and our patients in the boardroom.
